Nashua Silver Knights breeze by Worcester Bravehearts

Racing to a 4-0 lead after two innings, the Nashua Silver Knights took a 7-3 win over the Worcester Bravehearts on Thursday night at Holman Stadium.

Nashua starter Cooper Anibal took the win, working five innings and allowing two runs on five hits, striking out two.

Kyle Skidmore tossed two innings, allowing one run on two hits, while Jimmy Fahey finished it off with two scoreless innings to earn the save.

Dylan Jones doubled in one of Nashua’s two runs in the second and cleared the bases with double in the sixth, lifting his average to .339 for the season.

The Silver Knights host Worcester again tonight at Holman Stadium with a 6:45 start time, then take on the North Shore Navigators at Holman on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.

Muckdogs 5, Spinners 2

Jack Strunc doubled twice and singled, scoring two runs as the Batavia Muckdogs defeated the Lowell Spinners on

Thursday.

Brayan Hernandez doubled and singled, also stealing a base for Batavia.

Lowell started the scoring in the first inning when Gilberto Jimenez hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Joe Davis.

Batavia answered in the bottom of the frame, scoring two runs to cut into the Lowell lead.

Strunc and Andrew Turner hit RBI singles to tie it up The Muckdogs took the lead for good in the fourth when Turner scored on a double play.

Dakota Bennett (1-1) got the win with five innings of scoreless, three-hit relief while Kelvin Sanchez (2-1) took the loss.
