Thursdays are usually light days during the high school winter season, but that doesn’t mean they’e uneventful.
It was a great day for local Co-Ed Unified Basketball with Nashua North vs.South, a not-so-great night for the South girls hoop team, but a good one for Milford. Plus it was the season opener for the BG, Nashua North and South ski teams.
Let’s take a look:

GYMNASTICS
NORTH, SOUTH GYMNASTS DO WELL
The Titans and Panthers’ seasons are underway, and recently competed in a meet that had gymnasts from seven schools, some competing as independents.
That’s what South’s Abbey Herbert and Binita Rana, both seniors, did. Herbert scored an 8. 2 on vault, and improved her balance beam score by a point. Rana showed improvement on vault and floor.
Meanwhile, North is competing as a team for the first time since the 2021-22 season with six gymnasts, including three freshmen.
The Titans improved their score in this meet, their third, by nearly 25 points with a 104.2. Abby Bozek had an All-Arond of 30.7, while Ashlynn Hall had a 30.6 All-Around, with improved scores on vault and bars.
Senior Lynnlee Davis competed well, while freshman Lily Houston had a strong meet on vault (8.7), bars and beam. Fellow freshman Aubrey Hobart had her highest score on beam.
The Panthers and Titans will compete in their home Senior Meet on Sunday at Gymnastics Village.
