HS Football Roundup: Yukica semifinalists announced; ‘Hawks win finale, Broncos bow

The playoffs don’t start until tonight but there was still news and a couple of local games in high school football.
Several locals were named as semifinalists for the Joe Yukica Player of the Year. And second, Alvirne and Merrimack finished off their regular seasons on Thursday night.
Here’s the rundown:
YUKICA SEMIFINALISTS
There are 10 for the Joe Yukica/New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation, and five of them are local:
Nate Bowen, QB, Bishop Guertin; Cody Jackson, QB, Nashua South; Ryland Raudelunas, RB,Souhegan; Rocco Roy, WR, Bishop Guertin, and Josh Tripp, WR/S, Nashua South.
The others are Windham’s Robert Durkin, Bedford’s Brody Helton and Bennett Matthews, Manchester Memorial’s Jacob Schuff and Salem’s Jordan Zaninni.
Three finalists will be announced on Nov. 20 and the winner will be announced on Nov. 27. Voting by the NHIAA head coaches and statewide media member will determine the finalists and winner.
In the two consolation games last night:
MERRIMACK 52, TIMBERLANE 12
The Tomahawks took out their frustration of not making the playoffs by routing the Owls, finishing the season at 5-4. Merrimack finsiehed 4-4 but was beaten out by 3-5 Londonderry due to the point rating system, etc.
KEENE 27, ALVIRNE 15
The Broncos finsh at 4-6, with their final touchdowns of the season scored by Quintin Tetreault and Mike Landmesser.
