HS Roundup: Cougar football rolls; BG’s Fischer wins Woods Trail

Another game, another Campbell High School football win.
That’s what happened when the Cougars traveled to Gilford for a rare Saturday night game as they rolled to move to 5-0. ruining their hosts’ homecoming festivities.
That plus some soccer and field hockey, as well as an individual local cross country victory, and here’s your Saturday highlights:
FOOTBALL
CAMPBELL 34, GILFORD 7
Braydon White rushed four 141 yards and four TDs while Brody Pinciaro had 147 yards on the ground. Cougar QB Mikey Grace ran for 50 and threw or 19 yards. Pinciaro had a 4-yard reception and White one for 15.
Campbell hosts Epping-Newmarket for just its second home game of the year next Saturday at 11 a.m.
FIELD HOCKEY
GOFFSTOWN 2, BISHOP GUERTIN 1 (OT)
The Cards lost a tough one in the extra session, falling 7-5. Addison Dadonna got their only goal.
BG hosts Exeter on Thursday at Stellos Stadium.
BOYS SOCCER
BISHOP GUERTIN 0, WINDHAM 0
The Cards (8-0-1) suffered their only blemish on their record but stayed unbeaten. Beau Baughter had six saves while James Guidry played well defensively for the Cards.
BG hosts Hanover on Monday.
MERRIMACK 1, MANCHESTER MEMORIAL 1 (Friday)
Quinn Guiliano’s free kick late in the second half forced the tie, whle Connor Boutin played brilliantly in goal with eight saves. Memorial’s Kolby Ducharme gave the Crusaders a 1-0 lead early in the second half on a penalty kick.
Now at 5-2-3, Merrimack ist Pinkerton on Tuesday.
GIRLS SOCCER
EXETER 3, ALVIRNE 1
Abbie Kowalski had 22 saves for the Broncos (0-7-2), who got a goal by Reese Wanamaker.
Alvirne hosts Nashua North on Tuesday.

WOODS TRAIL RUN
BG’S FISCHER WINS BOYS RACE
Bishop Guertin’s Ethan Fischer won the Woods Trail Run in Thetford, Vt.in a time of 16.37.77 as the Cards were the top local in 13th (447). Pinkerton won the event.
Souhegan (498) finished 19th and Nashua North was next (21, 506).
BG’s next runner was Sam Prescott in 43rd in 18:06.85. William Moores finished 56th. Other top locals were Souhegan’s Drew Rigaut (62, 18:21.35) and Nashua North’s Owen Gagnon (70, 18:30.12). Souhegan’s Jacob Spencer was 73rd.
SOUHEGAN 14TH IN GIRLS RACE
Saber Samantha Swanbon (21:39.29) was the top local, finishing 23rd while the Sabers were 14th. Teammate Brynn Siska was 29th in 21:36.82.
Bishop Guertin’s Jaylyn Paul was 42nd in 22:06.03. Nashua North’s Rosalie Neveu was 51st in 22:17.27. The Titans finished 22nd as a team.
