Alton Williams has had March to remember.
Not only did the Hollis Brookline High School senior boys basketball standout sink the Division II title clinching free throws for the Cavaliers, he did so as the Division II Player of the Year.
Williams averaged just over 16 points a game, but at 6-foot-6 he was an immense rebounder and shot blocker, leading the Cavs in both categories. He was dominant on the floor at all times.
Along with Williams, his Cavalier teammates James Arthur and Dylan Kelley were Honorable Mentions while Kelley was also on the All-Defensive Team. And HB’s third-year coach Ryan Kelley was named the division’s Coach of the Year.
Also, Souhegan’s Weston Hickman was on Second Team.
In Division I, Bishop Guertin’s Connor McGowan and Alvirne’s Garrett Hall were First Teamers. Nashua South’s Daniel Karavanic and Merrimack’s Nate Johnson were Second Team while BG’s Eli Youseff and Nashua North’s Josh Sullivan were Honorable Mentions.
