The road to the finals won’t be all too easy for local high school lacrosse teams, but for some it certainly looks doable.

The highest seeds locally will be Bishop Guertin in Division I boys lacrosse (No.2), and Merrimack girls in Division II (No. 2 also).

But there are in girls some all-local quarterfinal matchups – Hollis Brookline at Merrimack and Bishop Guertin at Souhegan — set in stone plus some intriguing boys first round games.

Here’s a look:

DIVISION I BOYS

Bishop Guertin, unbeaten in New Hampshire play but seeded second with an overall 13-5 record (0-5 out of state) will host No. 7 Concord (8-10) on Saturday in the quarterfinals, presumably at 5 p.m. unless changed. The Cards trounced the Tide 21-4 earlier this season and could face No. 3 Bedford in the semis – or No. 6 Londonderry next Wednesday, June 11 at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.

Also on Saturday, No. 5 Merrimack, with a stellar 11-6 regular season, will be at No. 4 Exeter (12-6) at 3:30 p.m. The Blue Hawks beat the Tomahawks 12-1 back on May 7 in Exeter, and are coached by Merrimack alum Matt Brewster.

But one local is a prelim on Friday. No. 8 Nashua South (8-10) will host No. 9 Dover (8-10) on Friday in a prelim at 1 p.m. at Stellos. That is both a day and a time change from the normal schedule. The winner visits top seed Pinkerton (14-4) in the quarters on Saturday. Dover beat the Panthers 11-6 three weeks ago in Dover.

The Division I finals are Saturday June 14 at 7 p.m. at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium.

DIVISION II-III BOYS

There’s one local in each division. In Division II, No. 4 Hollis Brookline (13-5) will host No. 5 St. Thomas (12-5) on Saturday at (as of now) 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals. They’re as close as can be as the Cavs won a 13-12 game back on May 7 in Dover. The winner likely gets No. 1, 17-0 Derryfield in the semis on Thursday, June 12 at 7:15 p.m. at Bedford’s Bulldog Stadium. The finals are Saturday, June 14 at 3 p.m. in Bedford.

In Division III, defending champion Campbell managed a 10-5 record and No. 6 seed, and will host No. 11 Pelham (6-8) on Thursday in the prelims. The winner gets to visit Bow in the quarters on Saturday. The Cougars actually lost to Pelham 12-11 way back on April 25.

The Division III finals are Saturday, June 14 at 6 p.m. at Bank of NH Stadium at Laconia High School.

DIVISION I GIRLS

Two big quarterfinal games are on tap on Thursday at 3:30 p.m., first with No. 5 Nashua South traveling to face No. 4 Exeter in a battle of 14-4 teams.

South beat Exeter 13-10 just two weeks ago at Stellos, and the Blue Hawks’ 8-7 win over BG gave them the edge for home field, plus the fact South didn’t get as many points for a win over lower division Derryfield. The winner gets No. 1 Portsmouth (17-0) in the semis at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m.it will be an epic game between No. 3 Souhegan (12-3) and No. 6 Bishop Guertin (10-6) at Souhegan’s Calvetti Field in Amherst. The Sabers beat BG for the first time in several years, 7-5, in Amherst just two weeks ago. The winner gets the 5:30 p.m. semi on Saturday in Exeter vs. the winner of the Pinkerton-Bedford quarterfinal.

The finals will be Tuesday, June 10 at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium at 5 p.m.

DIVISION II GIRLS

In Division II, No. 2 Merrimack (13-1) will host No. 7 Hollis Brookline (9-8) on Thursday in the quarters. Merrimack owns a 13-6 win over the Cavs back on May 7. The winner would take on either No. 3 Merrimack Valley or No. 6 Oyster River in the semifinals at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Nashua’s Stellos Stadium.

Winnacunnet is the top seed at 15-1. The finals are next Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at Bedford’s Bulldog Stadium.
