Monday was a day for the Nashua High School boys lacrosse team to smile and breathe a sigh of relief, picking up its first in of the season.
It was also day that cemented the idea that Bishop Guertin is the best local Division I baseball team as the Cards picked up their eighth win.

BASEBALL
BISHOP GUERTIN 8, MANCHESTER CENTRAL-WEST 2
The Cardinals improve to 8-5 with a home win on Monday. BG was led offensively by Nate Bowen (hit, two runs, RBI, stolen base), Jordy Delude (two hits, two runs, RBI), Josh Wilson (two hits, two runs, RBI) and AJ Holmes (two hits, two stolen bases).
Brian Webb picked up the win allowing two runs on four hits while striking out four in five innings. BG visits Manchester Memorial on Wednesday.
KEENE 7, NASHUA NORTH 2
Mario Ramirez and Ben Kelly each had a hit in the loss for the Titans (4-11). Kelly and Austin Suckecki tallied the runs. North visits Portsmouth on Wednesday.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 12, MILFORD 7
The Cavs (9-3) come from behind to defeat the Spartans (3-7). Leading the way for HB were Keenan Myers (run), Dylan Morelli (hit, three runs, RBI), Tyler Gryniewicz (two hits, two runs, RBI), Logan Theriault (two hits, two RBIs), Connor Gryniewicz (hit, run, four RBIs), Butch Valley (RBI), Chuck Harmon-Stone (hit, RBI), Paul Gehan (hit, two runs, RBI), Jordan Morelli (three hits, two runs, RBI) and Renzo Bergskaug (two hits, run). Levi Brown picked up the win allowing one run on two hits and striking out three. Milford had great performances from Bryce Larco (run, RBI), Jacob Hill (hit, run, two RBIs), Logan Howard (hit, RBI), Will O’Connell (hit), Ethan Szopa (run), Liam Zahn (hit, run), Marek Luba (hit, two runs) and Tanner Herbert (hit, run, three RBIs). HB visits Oyster River and Milford hosts Pelham on Tuesday.
LONDONDERRY 6, ALVIRNE 2
The Broncos (3-10) lose their straight game after losing to the Lancers. Mikey Bebris (hit, RBI), Jameson Krueger (two hits), Brady Mitchell (RBI) and Charlie Crawford (hit, two runs) played well at the plate. Alvirne visits Manchester Central-West on Wednesday.
CAMPBELL 1, PROSPECT MOUNTAIN 0
The Cougars (8-3) come out with a win after a low scoring affair. Jack Curtis threw a complete game shutout allowing three hits and striking out two. Braydon White, Michael Grace and Curtis each notched a hit. Campbell visits Newfound on Tuesday.
SOUHEGAN 14, PELHAM 4
Jaiden Bosquet struck out six and gave up four hits in four innings to get the win for the Sabers (12-1). Pacing the offense were Drew Reagan (two runs), Matt Silk (hit, three runs), Brayden Hickman (three hits, two runs, four RBIs), Cam Brown (hit), Joe Mayo (run, stolen base), Blake Powers (two this, two runs, RBI, stolen base), Dillon Depietro (run, RBI), Max Hayes (hit, two runs, two RBIs, stolen base) and Jack Fiengo (hit, two RBIs). Souhegan hosts Hanover on Wednesday.
SOFTBALL
BISHOP GUERTIN 9, DOVER 4
The Cardinals improve to 10-3 on Monday afternoon. Leading the BG offense were Sophie Bilodeau (hit, run), Gabriella Gillette (hit), Meara McDevitt (hit, two runs), Avery Zapanas (run), Deanna Miles (three hits, three runs), Chloe Sellers (two runs, RBI), Jenny Davey (two hits, two RBIs) and Shelby Goldstein (two hits, two RBIs). Davey pitched five and two-thirds innings allowing one hit and striking out 10. BG visits Portsmouth on Tuesday.
TIMBERLANE 9, NASHUA SOUTH 5
The Panthers (4-10) drop their third game in a row after they visited the Owls. Cate Marvin (double, three RBIs), Charlotte Primeau (RBI) and Maliyah Richer-Valentin (two hits) played well in the loss. Marvin took the loss pitching six innings, giving up nine runs on 10 hits and striking out four. South hosts Merrimack on Wednesday.
MILFORD 9, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 7
Molly Miles went the distance allowing five and striking out two to earn her first varsity win and to end the Spartans (5-5) four game losing streak. Miles also played well on offense with four hits, Teagan Goldstein and Arianna Wales each had two hits. Milford hosts Pelham on Tuesday and HB (3-7) visits Oyster River on Tuesday.
MERRIMACK 6, WINDHAM 5
The Tomahawks (10-4) win their seventh straight game and end the Jaguars perfect season. Marissa Nelson led with two hits and three RBIs. Ashley Senecal tallied two hits, while Cam Bellen, Katie Coolidge, Olivia Burke and Allie Wyand all had hits. Lily Dionne got the win with Nelson getting the save. Merrimack visits Nashua South on Wednesday.
BOYS LACROSSE
NASHUA NORTH 11, SALEM 8
Dylan Noble scored five goals as the Titans’ (1-12) season long win drought comes to an end. Nick Wilkinson and Nico Bottari each had a hat trick, while Josh Parsons and Aiden Louis had one assist each. Parsons also made 24 saves in net. North visits Timberlane on Wednesday.
LONDONDERRY 12, NASHUA SOUTH 2
The Panthers had a tough day despite it being Senior Night, falling to 6-7 in a one-sided affair at Stellos Stadium.

The Cavs (10-4) three game winning streak comes to an end at the hands of the Warriors. Noah Taylor and Sam Petrella each scored three goals to head the offense. Mike O’Hearn (goal), JP Torgersen (goal), Colin Magnuszewski (assist), Bennett Torgersen (assist), Vittorio Masoni (assist), Luke Kinney (assist) and Levi Mitchell (eight saves) played well for the locals. HB hosts Goffstown on Wednesday.
MILFORD 10, STEVENS 2
Dylan McLeod found the back of the net four times to lead the Spartans (1-10) to their first win of the season. Mitch Broadhurst scored two goals and Tyler Note score one. Cam Callahan, Eben Barb and Max Hammerstrom all scored their first varsity goals. Braeden Orlen (assist), Chris Quezada (assist) and Rocco Bartling (eight saves) also had contributions for the locals. Milford hosts ConVal on Wednesday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
NASHUA SOUTH 16, LONDONDERRY 11
Maren Lowell led the way for the Panthers (11-4) with eight goals and an assist in the high scoring contest. Addie Borden scored three goals, Saige Devins and Carly Benzekri each tallied two goals and an assist, Karina O’Donnell added a goal and Wylie Hart had an assist. Lilee Petricca (five saves), Maddie Langer, Karina Santana, Nevaeh Eppolitto, Lexi McGuire and Nitzann Alkalay led the defense. South hosts Exeter today.
MERRIMACK VALLEY 13, ALVIRNE 3
The Broncos (0-10) remain winless after another loss. Cadence Bice, Audrienna Chipperini and Reese Durkee scored one goal apiece and Fiona Duggan made eight saves. Alvirne hosts Manchester Memorial on Wednesday.
SOUHEGAN 18, WINDHAM 12
Libby Kennedy netted six goals in the Sabers (7-3) win. Others contributing in the win were Lanai Hickman (two goals, assist, three ground balls), Abby Giannetti (goal), Izzy Stevenson (two goals, assist), Emmie Curran (three goals), Averie Curran (four goals) and Emma Crisman (five saves). Souhegan hosts Bishop Guertin on Wednesday.
BOYS TENNIS
BISHOP GUERTIN 6, CONCORD 3
The Cards improved to 6-5 with four of six singles and two more doubles wins.
Singles winners were Jack Kostansek (8-1), Evan Deyak (8-4), Max Moynihan (8-4 and Max Lizotte (8-4).
Two doubles wins by Kostansek/Moynihan (8-1) and Deyak Lizotte (8-4) clinched things.
The Cards are at Manchester Memorial today.
MERRIMACK 9, CONVAL 0
The Tomahawks picked up a win that will likely put them in next week’s Division II tourney, a clean sweep.
Singles winners – they lost only one game – were Mikhail Agapov (8-1), Leon Rossman (8-0), Nithin Sathappan (8-0), Jeremy Nigen (8-0), Lucas Goldberg (8-0) and Drew Bergen (8-0).
Doubles winners were Agapov/Rossman (8-3), Goldberg/Nigen (8-2) and Bergen/Patrick MacIsssac (8-0).
They wrap up the Division II regular season today at Wasserman Park vs. Goffstown.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 7, BOW 2
The Cavs (11-2) got back on the winning track, taking five of six singles and two of three doubles.
Singles winners were Arjun Inakollu (9-7), John Torpey (8-1), Sam Anthony (8-5), Greyson McSeveney (8-2) and Dylan Legrow (8-1). Inakollu/Anthony (8-6) and Ronan Finnegan/Eli Mazzola (8-0) won in doubles.
HB wraps up the regular season Wednesday at unbeaten Winnacunnet.
ALVIRNE 9, COE-BROWN 0
The Broncos honored their seniors while finishing the regular season in style with a clean sweep. Winners included Sam Hergenhan (8-1), Sean Mendes (8-1), Owen Surprenant (8-3), Cole Fitzpatrick (8-3), Christian Figueredo (8-0) and Alendro Valenzuela (8-0).
Hergenhan/Suprenant (8-2), Mendes/Fitzparick (8-0) and Figueredo/Samanya Kudikala (6-5) picked up wins in doubles.
The Broncos should grab one of the final couple of spots in the Division II tourney next week.
SOUHEGAN 8, MILFORD 1
The Sabers took five of six singles and swept doubles to improve to 6-4.
Singles winners were Brian Goddard (8-1), Parker Schade (8-0), Patrick Bryson (8-2), Carpenter Berube (8-3) and Jacob Bartle (8-3).
Goddard/Balthazar Glover (8-3), Schade/Bryson (8-3) and Berube/Bartle (8-3) won in doubles.
Souhegan is at Oyster River today while Milford (3-10) are at Lebanon on Friday.
GIRLS TENNIS
NASHUA NORTH 9, MANCHESTER CENTRAL 0
The Titans enjoyed a clean sweep, with singles winners being Mary Pappas (8-1), Brielle Baxter (8-1), Gabi Desjardins (8-2), Mariana Cajigas (9-8, 7-1), Leena Srinivas (8-1) and Aleena Reth (8-0).
Pappas/Baxter (8-0), Desjardins/Cajigas (8-4) and Reth/Yelin Kim (8-1).
Now 9-3, North wraps up the regular season Wednesday at Exeter.
NASHUA SOUTH 6, DOVER 3
The Panthers picked up five of six singles, from Nos. 2 through 6, to improve to 7-4. Winners included Krina Dani (8-4), Saanvi Praturu (8-6), Riya Shroff (8-4), Gowri Akkineni (8-6) and Ananya Arun (8-4).
The No. 2 doubles team of Dani/Akkineni won 8-4.
BOW 6, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3
Anuhya Chilakapati at No. 1 (8-0) and Sapph Sidhu at No. 2 (8-5) picked up singles wins for 9-4 HB, while Chilakapatai and Ava Porto teamed up for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
