Nashua South football assistant Josh Porter named new Panthers head coach

NASHUA — Current Panthers varsity assistant Josh Porter has been named as the new head football coach at Nashua High School South.
Porter, a one-time interim head coach at Dracut (Mass.) High School, has been on the Panthers staff the last four years, lately as the offensive line coach and secondary coach.
Porter,32, also works in the building, and beat out a pool of about 20 candidates for the job, Nashua Athletic Director Lisa Gingras said.
Porter succeeds longtime Panthers coach Scott Knight, who announced his retirement from coaching last month.
