The season is just three days old but already the Souhegan High School girls tennis team got a signature win.

The Sabers rallied to pull out a 5-4 win at Portsmouth in a rematch of last year’s Division II finals.

“It shows we have resiliency and confidence,” Sabers coach Bo Dean said, “especially vs. a quality opponent.”

Meanwhile, all the Nashua tennis teams – North, South and Bishop Guertin boys and girls – had their season openers yesterday. And Tuesday’s snowed out track meet at North was held on Wednesday.

Here it all is on the first busy day of the spring season – albeit with just two sports. Imagine next week?
