HS Roundup: Good soccer day for North, BG, and South
It was a pretty successful day for local boys and girls soccer teams, unless it was an all-area matchup. But the Nashua North girls, the Bishop Guertin boys and girls teams, and the Nashua South girls all enjoyed their Tuesday in the sun.

BOYS SOCCER
BISHOP GUERTIN 3, SPAULDING 0
The Cardinals (3-2) shutout Spaulding on Tuesday afternoon. Trenton Cormier scored two goals and Liam Ireland had one goal and added an assist. Andrew Klyop had two assists and Beau Boughter made four saves. BG visits Alvirne on Thursday.
GIRLS SOCCER
BISHOP GUERTIN 6, SPAULDING 0
The Cardinals (5-1) pick up their fifth straight shutout win to keep the hot streak moving. Zoe Horton-Sousa led the way with three goals. Kareena Sondhi (assist), Emerson Brown (assist) and Caroline Goulet (assist) tallied one goal each. Kelsey Ackerman had two assists and Ava Suech added one. Jess LaCroix and Olivia Baker shared time in net. BG hosts Alvirne on Saturday.
NASHUA SOUTH 3, MERRIMACK 1
The Panthers (3-3) win their home match against the Tomahawks (0-4-1). Ella Bois, Ava Kopiko and Reese Doolan scored one goal apiece. Natalee Thomas and Maria Davito each tallied an assist with Corrin Rivera making six saves. South visits Concord on Saturday and Merrimack visits Exeter on Thursday.
NASHUA NORTH 3, LONDONDERRY 1
Alli Frye recorded a hat trick to give the Titans (4-1-1) the win. North hosts Manchester Central on Saturday.
GOLF
WINDHAM 192, NASHUA NORTH 210, MERRIMACK 212
The Titans and the Tomahawks fall to the Jaguars on Tuesday. Drew Goulet (41), Conor Prunier (41), Sam Kobs (41), Tommy Dratch (43) and Dawson Bolton (44) played well for North.
MILFORD FOURTH IN QUAD MATCH
The Spartans totaled 252, behind match winner Oyster River (212), Kingswood (216) and Merrimack Valley (226).
Hunter Kolesar led the Spartans with a 40.
CROSS COUNTRY
SPARTAN RUNNERS TAKE TOP HONORS
Milford’s Logan Korthals (17.34) and Jaylyn Paul (21.32) each won their race at Federal Hill. Will Whitley and Grant Skorupan finished second and third respectively for the Spartans.
Hollis Brookline was represented by John Masiello (fourth), William Scott (fifth) and Devin Gomes (sixth) in the boys race. Mae Butler was runner up, Lucia Dunsmoor finished third and Hannah LaPointe ended the race in fourth for the Cavs. Silva had a best finish of sixth for Wilton-Lyndeborough.
