Thursday was a Panther day.
It was a good day for Nashua High School South teams, as the girls soccer team got its first win of the season in a close one with Portsmouth, and the boys won at Portsmouth. Not to be outdone, the South girls volleyball team won its season opener at Keene.
The biggest had to be by the girls soccer squad, which had two tough shutout losses to start the year.
“This was a huge win vs. last year’s runnerup and preseason #3,” South coach Curt Dutilley said. “Amazing mental fortitude bouncing back from a tough game 48 hours earlier.”
Also, Nashua North has won in girls volleyball on back-to-back nights to start the season. And break up the Hollis Brookline field hockey team, now unbeaten in three games.
