Bronco girls use their scoring depth to beat Central-West
The Alvirne High School girls basketball team didn’t have a scorer in double figures on Thursday night.
Turns out they didn’t need one.
That’s because they had nine players in the scoring column en route to a 52-36 win over Manchester Central-West in Manchester. The Broncos, who started the season 0-3, have now won four straight and go into tonight’s game at Salem at 9-6 as they’ve begun the home stretch.
Alvirne jumped out to a 13-4 led after one quarter and never looked back as they held Central-West to 10 first half points, leading 28-10 at the break.
Lexi Floyd led Alvirne with 9 points, while three players had eight each: Courtney Anderson, Sadie Rogers and Ashlyn Farn. The Broncos also continued their good shooting with six 3-pointers, three by Floyd for all her points.
Tianna Mann led Central-West with eight points. Now 3-12, Central-West is at Nashua North tonight.
