It will be the 65th Decathlon and 45th Heptathlon. The competition is open to all high school athletes from around the state, including incoming 2022 freshmen.
Both events are two-day competitions. The Decathlon will begin Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m., and the events include 100 meter ash, 110 meter hurdles, long jump, discus, shot put, pole vault, high jump, javelin, 400 meter run and 1500 meter run. The pole vault and discus events will be held at Nashua South.

Sanborn Regional 2021 senior Max Lussier won the Decathlon, so there will be new champions this year for both.
The list of competitors is expected to be finalized today.
