The drought is over for the Nashua High School North boys lacrosse team, which started the season out with 12 losses.

Other than North-South softball, that was clearly the highlight of the day locally. The South and Souhegan girls got big lacrosse wins as well, while watch out for the Hollis Brookline softball team, which is now 7-2 and has a big one today against a fellow Division II contender.

To find out who, read on:

Jack Peters had five goals for the Titans (1-12), who also got two goals and four assists by Adeen Ahmed and four goals by Austin Kaminaris.

Now 4-6, Merrimack visits Bedford on Thursday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Kaitlyn West, Morgan Uzdanovich and Kylie Daw (six draws) each had a goal and an assist. Karina O’Donnell had a great day also on the draw circle for South, now 10-2 and off until it plays Bedford on Monday.

SOUHEGAN 16, CONCORD 4

The Sabers (7-3) rolled, led by Elle Stevenson’s four goals, two assists, three draw controls and seven ground balls.

But they had plenty of other contributors, including Mackenzie Crestinger (three goals, assist, seven draws, eight ground balls), Natalie Heimarack (two goals, assist, two draws, five ground balls, two caused turnovers), Emma Kennedy (two goals, two assists, eight ground balls, one turnover), Lyla Kimball (two goals, assist, two draws, six grounders, one turnover), Sierra Kimball (three ground balls), Maddie Lim (three goals, grounder, turnover) and Riley Devine (assist).

BASEBALL
