HS Roundup: Big days for Campbell’s Bourque, BG’s Bouvier

They do play lacrosse in the rain. And Wednesday, that was the case with the local high schools.

While all of the local baseball and softball action was postponed — much of it pushed to today — the lacrosse schedule save for a couple of changes was played and some players, like BG’s Rylee Bouvier and Campbell’s Bailey Bourque were glad that was the case.

Most of the tennis matches were also postponed, with the exception of Hollis Brookline-Goffstown, as the Cavaliers use the indoor courts at the Longfellow Tennis Club in Nashua as their home.

Here’s a look at Wednesday’s results, with the revised high school schedule for today tacked on at the end:

GIRLS LACROSSE

BISHOP GUERTIN 21, CONCORD 10

The Cardinals used a plethora of players, with seven scoring goals and nine in the scoring column overall to move to 8-0-1.

Rylee Bouvier led the way with six goals and an assist, while Tess Prunier added four. Lauren Redfern (three goals, three assists) and Nat Coutu (three goals, two assists) had hat tricks while Deb Moyer and Anna Campel each had two goals, Moyer also assisting on a score.

Jordan Gaebel (goal, assist), Sophia Alton and Kam Schmidt (an assist each) also helped out.

The Cards, now winners of six straight, are at Manchester Central on Friday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 16, HANOVER 9

Alyssa Hill had six goals and an assist to lead the Cavs, who improved to 7-2. They also got three goals and an assist each from Ireland Stark and Bella Haytayan, while Sabrina Hill had two goals and three assists. Abbie Ogren had a goal and an assist awhile Cailean Roy added a goal.

Roy and Stark each had five draw controls while Stark also had five ground ball pickups and four interceptions. Hallie Bardani was stellar in goal with 15 saves.

HB is at Timberlane on Monday.

CAMPBELL 17, ST. THOMAS 13

The Cougars (5-2) prevailed in a back-and-forth battle thanks to seen goals by Bailey Bourque, who also had an assist.

Kristina Castellano had five goals with an assist and won 65 percent of her draws.

Brooke Stoncius added another three goals for the Cougars, who take on Derryfield on the road Friday.

KINGSWOOD 16, ALVIRNE 4

The Broncos fell despite having four different goal scorers: Elsa Ferullo, Halle Miller, Maddy Nicolosi and Sydney Nicholson.

Katherine Waden added an assist while Alexa Kruger was busy in goal with 13 saves. The Broncos (0-6) will try to get their first win Friday at Hanover.

BOYS LACROSSE

MERRIMACK 9, DOVER 3

The Tomahawks (3-4) bounced back after Monday’s close loss to Nashua South thanks in part to five goals and an assist from Shea Goodwin.

Kyle Dunn had two goals while Connor Dunn had his first varsity point, an assist. Ryan Rezendes (goal, two assists), Jackson Forbes (goal, assist), Matthew Todd (assist) and Alec Vietry (two asssits) all contributed.

Aidan Ward had three saves in goal for Merrimack, which hosts Exeter on Friday.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

WINNACUNNET 3, BISHOP GUERTIN 0

The Cards fell to 2-5 after a tough 25-20, 25-13, 25-14 sweep at the hands of the Warriors.

Guertin heads to Keene on Friday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, SALEM 0

The Cavaliers improved to 6-1 with a 25-16, 26-24, 25-18 sweep, led by Jake Laborde’s 18 kills and nine kills from Aidan Norris.

Ethan Norris had 28 asists whle John Sommer (two blocks) and Dan Satler (nine digs, two aces) were also keys.

HB is at Winnacunnet on Monday.

GIRLS TENNIS

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 5, GOFFSTOWN 3

The matches were tight (two tiebreakers) but the Cavaliers were able to win four singles matches to help pull out the win and improve to 4-4.

HB singles winners were Keira Swart (8-4), Katie Bauer (8-3) and Mikayla Coolidge (9-8). Anuhya Chilakapati got a forfeit win due to an illness.

Abby and Mikayla Coolidge picked up the clinching point in doubles, 8-2.

HB is at Windham on Friday in a rematch of last year’s Division II finals.
