HS Hockey Roundup: Admirals skate the ship to a win

Victory is finally theirs.

The Alvirne-Milford hockey team got its first win of the season on Wednesday, topping Spaulding in a Division II contest.

Bishop Guertin picked up wins in boys and girls hockey, while Merrimack and Nashua South-Pelham suffered tough losses with a week-and-a-half left in the regular season.

Here’s the rundown:

BOYS HOCKEY

ALVIRNE-MILFORD 6,

SPAULDING 3

Matt Ryan netted four goals and one assist to lead Alvirne-Milford (1-9-1) to its first win of the season.

Hayden Ricard collected two goals and two assists, Dylan Greenlaw had two assists with Sal Pace and Kelcie Water picking up one assist each.

Alvirne-Milford visits Oyster River on Saturday.

BISHOP GUERTIN 3,

WINDHAM 0

The Cardinals (6-6-2) collect their third straight win with a shutout against the Jaguars. Mitchell Lynch (one assist), Ben Young and Cosmo Siano each found the back of the net while Tim Kiely added one assist.

BG hosts Pinkerton on Saturday.

TRINITY 6,

NASHUA SOUTH-PELHAM 0

The Kings were shut out at Conway Arena by Pioneers netminder Braden Lubelczyk (25 saves) moving their record down to 2-11-1. Riley Pelletier had 27 stops in the Kings goal.

South-Pelham visits Hanover on Saturday.

DOVER 4,

MERRIMACK 1

The Tomahawks (8-8) fall to the hot shooting Green Wave who notched their fourth straight win. Sam Giles scored on an assist by Owen Miner.

Merrimack visits Portsmouth-Newmarket on Saturday.

GIRLS HOCKEY

BISHOP GUERTIN 8,

KEENE 3

The Cardinals (12-2) grab their sixth win in a row after a dominating contest against Keene. Jenna Lynch had two goals and two assists, Julie McLaughlin scored two goals, Jasmine Shattuck tallied two goals, Jill Scanlon had one goal and one assist, Gracie Menicci had one goal with Riley Goldthwaite and McKenzie Husson each adding an assist.

BG hosts Manchester Central-Memorial on Thursday.
