HS Roundup: Robinson, Gamache pace Kings; Cards win

There have been a lot of frustrating moments for the Nashua South-Pelham hockey team, but Saturday was not one of them.

The Kings picked up their second win of the season, beating Bow on the road behind great goaltending. Meanwhile, BG snapped a three-game losing streak.

Here’s a look at Saturday’s hockey and wrestling action:

NASHUA SOUTH-PELHAM 5,

BOW 1

The Kings (2-10-1) pick up a big road win to snap a five-game losing skid. Ethan Robinson was phenomenal between the pipes securing 47 saves. Peter Gamache tallied a hat trick while Sean McCarthy and Nathan Smith had one goal apiece and Matt Migliore had one assist. South-Pelham hosts Trinity on Wednesday.

BOYS HOCKEY

BISHOP GUERTIN 5,

KEENE 2

The Cardinals (4-6-2) end a three-game losing streak with a road win against the Blackbirds. Johnny Mantone netted a hat trick with Tim Kiely and Mitchell Lynch adding one goal each.

BG visits Malden Catholic on Monday.

BELMONT 3,

HOLLIS BROOKLINE-DERRYFIELD 0

The Warriors were shutout on the road dropping their record to 9-3. HBDS visits John Stark on Friday.

WRESTLING

CAMPBELL DUALS

NASHUA SOUTH

The Panthers went 4-0 on the day. South defeated Kearsarge 48-15, Milford 44-15, White Mountains 6-0 and Campbell 54-9.

Winners for South were: Anthony Fernandez (132, two wins), Edniel Reyes (170, two wins), Kyle Vancelette (138), Connor Whitman (145), Damien Perez (160, two wins), Andrew Lovell (182), Conner Comeau (195), Colby Vancelette (220) and Ryan Salemi (126).

MILFORD

The Spartans went 3-1 at the Campbell quad meet. Milford defeated Kearsarge 52-6, Campbell 45-12 and White Mountains 66-6; while losing to Nashua South 15-45. Kyle Lajoie (120), Hunter Kolesar (126) and Dan DeBernardo (285) picked up wins.
