Don’t look now, but the Nashua High School North boys basketball team is 5-0, turning a battle of unbeatens at Goffstown on Wednesday night into a rout.

That highlighted a busy night of high school action that saw the Bishop Guertin boys win their fourth straight on the hardwood and pick up their first win on the ice. Meanwhile, the Alvirne girls won their third in a row in a nailbiter over Nashua South on the last real busy regular season night before the new year. There will be a smattering of regular season games next week but also holiday tourneys.

Here’s the rundown:

BOYS BASKETBALL

NASHUA NORTH 62,

GOFFSTOWN 41

The Titans improved to 5-0 after a dominant road win. Trevor Labrecque led the way with 18 points, Thomas Laurendi scored 11, Jayden Montgomery added eight and Derek Finlay had seven.

North visits Portsmouth on December 30.

BISHOP GUERTIN 51,

CONCORD 27

The Cardinals go into the holiday break with a four-game winning streak placing their record at 4-1. Matt Santosuosso had a game high 22 points and Luke Anderson scored 13. BG plays next week in the Commonwealth Motors Classic in Andover, Mass., and then hosts Nashua South on Jan. 3.

LACONIA 60,

MILFORD 38

The Spartans (2-4) dropped their fourth consecutive game despite Ryon Constable’s 11 points, while Chuck Urda and Bernard Glusac finished with nine each. Milford visits Coe-Brown on Jan. 3.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ALVIRNE 56,

NASHUA SOUTH 53

The Broncos move to 3-1 after a close win against the Panthers (0-4) in Hudson. Paige McKinley had a team high 20 points with Alyssa Scharn and Jaime O’Connor had 11 points apiece.

The Panthers were up three with 1:30 left and turnovers hurt them down the stretch. South’s Maizie Barker had a game high 21 points, while Morgan Gillis scored 12 and Ella Karavanic had 10.

Alvirne visits Keene on Monday and South visits Spaulding next Wednesday.

GOFFSTOWN 49,

KEARSARGE 1

Jesse Gertz (two goals, one assist) tallied three points to lead HBDS (2-0) to a decisive win.
