It’s not surprising to see the Nashua High School North and South boys soccer teams win on the same day.
But by same 10-1 scores, well, that’s a first, as those are quite unusual in soccer. But it happened, as both teams plug away. The Panthers remain unbeaten, with one tie, while the Titans took their third in their last four games, and second straight.
And here’s another fun fact: The Alvirne Broncos played in their sixth girls soccer overtime game of the season, and came out on top over Merrimack.
Here’s the rundown of a busy local sports day:
BOYS SOCCER
NASHUA NORTH 10,
TIMBERLANE 1
The Titans (5-6) dominate on the road to take their second straight win. Amos Karnua led the offensive charge with three goals. Caua De Freitas and Cam Rodriguez had two goals each; while Preston Thompson, Sam Paintsil and Arthur Santos rounded out the scoring.
North hosts Merrimack on Saturday.
NASHUA SOUTH 10,
GOFFSTOWN 1
Rory Olsen netted three goals leading the Panthers (11-0-1) past Goffstown. Other scorers were Daniel Miranda, Santi Somorrostro, Ethan Emata, Sam Hadouche, Jameson Mondale, Max Lopez and Victor Oliveira with one each. Jadiel Bomfim added three assists to the winning effort.
South visits Bedford on Friday.
CAMPBELL 4,
BISHOP BRADY 3
Connor netted two goals and Wyatt Hemming added one to get the Cougars (8-2) their fifth straight win. Campbell visits Derryfield on Thursday.
LONDONDERRY 5,
BISHOP GUERTIN 0
The Cardinals (3-8) get shutout by the Lancers despite having good scoring chances. BG hosts Dover on Thursday.
ALVIRNE 2,
MERRIMACK 1
Jack Ashworth (assist) and Jake Dufour found the back of the net to secure a win for the Broncos (4-6-1) over the Tomahawks (3-8). Merrimack’s Kyle Egan scored its lone goal and Drew Flanders and Matt Schmitt made seven and four saves respectively.
Alvirne hosts Manchester Memorial on Friday and Merrimack visits Nashua North on Saturday.

ALVIRNE 3,

Paige Boudreau scored the game winner on an assist by Halle Miller in what was the Broncos (4-4-3) sixth overtime game of the season.
The Tomahawks (4-5-1) scored in the final minute of regulation to force overtime. Alvirne’s Hannah Sellingham and Lyla Davis had one goal each with Paige McKinley making 23 saves.
Cara Sulivan scored both goals for Merrimack. Isabella Saxon added two assists and Molly Perkins had six saves.
Alvirne visits Manchester Memorial on Thursday and Merrimack hosts Nashua North on Wednesday.

The Titans fell for the fifth game in a row, dropping their record to 2-9. North visits Merrimack on Wednesday.

The Cougars travelled to Derryfield and came home with a tie pushing their record to 4-6-1. Campbell hosts St. Thomas on Thursday.

Alyssa Hill netted the lone goal of the day to bring the Cavs record to 5-6. Lindsay Dattis, Bella Haytayan, Elsie Figeroua, Allie Wood, Sabrina Hill, Jill Bradbrook, Leia Scott, Rachel Brown, Kaitlyn Castriotta, Emma Harley and Nyah Jernberg kept the pressure on the offensive end. HB heads to Portsmouth on Friday to take on the top ranked Clippers.

The Spartans (0-12) remain winless after a late fourth quarter goal by Pembroke. Heather Whittier had 16 saves in net.

The Cardinals (7-4) take down the Tomahawks (2-10) by the scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.
Julia Foster (15 assists, three digs, two aces), Caroline Sullivan (eight assists, six kills, five digs) and Larisa Comolli (seven digs, six kills, two aces) led BG. Leaders for the Tomahawks were Lily Petrocelli (eight kills, eight digs, two blocks), Julia Bradley (six kills, five digs, two blocks) and Eva Page (eight assists).
BG visits Windham and Merrimack visits Nashua South on Wednesday.

Caity Cooper recorded 15 service aces and four kills to lead the Sabers to a Tuesday win. Lina Carroll (10 service aces, five ace serves, two kills), Lexi Blastos (six ace serves) and Liy Bjorden (three service aces, two kills) had big contributions for the locals.

The Cavaliers upended the Spartans, Broncos and Sabers at Amherst Country Club Tuesday afternoon.
HB’s top scorers were Charlie Hale (36), Reid Mitchell (39), Braeden O’Connor (39), Cavan Quinn (44) and Lauren Mauch (46).
The Cavs combined for three birdies, 17 pars and 17 bogies.
