Well, one out of two isn’t bad.

Nashua High Schools North and South were set to play Part Deux of their baseball-softball rivalry on Wednesday, but only one – softball – was played with the Panthers winning for the second time in three days.

As for baseball, while the South Senior Night ceremony was held at Holman Stadium, the game was not as the thunderstorms arrived in the top of the first with North’s Derek Finlay at third and no one out.

The game, according to Nashua Athletic Director Lisa Gingras, will not be rescheduled as the Silver Knights play at Holman tonight and the tournament pairings are already set – South hosts Keene Monday morning at 10 a.m.. North edged South 5-4 in the first and now only meeting on Monday, but if South beats Keene the two teams could meet again in the tournament next Thursday at 2 p.m. at Holman.

Meanwhile, the state Division I girls state track and field meet is set for 4 p.m. at Winnacunnet of Hampton.

The boys meet is Friday, same time and location.

Here’s a look at Wednesday’s action before the rain arrived, including a Milford girls tennis tourney prelim win:
