High School Highlights: Bishop Guertin boys hoop tops Keene

Bishop Guertin 66, Keene 56

The Cardinals (5-1) win the battle of the birds beating out the Blackbirds Tuesday night. Dylan Santosuosso had another great shooting night tallying 22 points. Mason Carroll (13 points) and Jordan Robichaud (11 points) contributed to the offensive effort. Guertin travels to Pinkerton on Friday.

Mascenic 77,

Campbell 63

Mascenic snaps the Cougars (3-4) three game winning streak by beating them on their home court. Joaquin Heller tallied 20 points. Campbell welcomes Prospect Mountain on Friday.

Alvirne 60,

Londonderry 48

The Broncos (2-5) found their first win in the last four games to break their losing streak. Brett McKinley paced the offense with 19 points and teammates Liam O’Neil and Meshack Mugariri each scored 12 points. Alvirne travels to Windham on Friday.

Manchester West 61, Milford 56

West used the free throw line to their advantage making 7-8 down the stretch to best the Spartans (2-4). Jake Greska had a game high 18 points, Ryon Constable tallied 14, Joey Shepard had 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds and Christian Jones added 11 in the loss. Milford hosts Sanborn on Thursday.

Derryfield 81,

Wilton-Lynde. 34

The Warriors (2-6) lost on the road, their sixth straight defeat. Jack Schwab recorded 24 points and joined the 1000 point club. WLC travels to Pittsburg-Canaan on Friday.

Girls basketball

Manchester West 49, Milford 29

Manchester West earned its third win of the year, outscoring the Spartans (0-7) 15-0 in the third quarter to pull away after leading 24-15 at the half. For Milford, Sarah Dobbs led the way with nine points and both Carla Rodriguez and Addie Hopkins chipped in with five. Milford hosts Sanborn on Friday.

Campbell 50,

St. Thomas 36

After a setback on Friday night, the Cougars pulled off a big win on the road. Campbell was led by Karleigh Schultz (11 points), Riley Gamache (11 points, six steals), Alyssa Gonzalez (10 points) and Kristina Castellano (eight points). Campbell improves to 5-4 and visit Prospect Mountain on

Friday.

Hollis Brookline 61, Souhegan 30

The Cavaliers stayed undefeated with a decisive home win against the Sabers (2-6). Amanda Goclowski led the game with 15 points and added nine rebounds. Christina Balsamo scored 13 points; Elisabeth Stapelfeld added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Elizabeth Bonnette had nine points. Hollis Brookline plays Stevens on Friday and Souhegan hosts Pembroke on Friday.

Merrimack 49,

Nashua South 35

The Tomahawks (8-0) prevailed in a physical matchup with the Panthers (4-3). Riley Crampton led all scorers with 13 points on the night, while Theresa Twardosky and Gillian Waller added 10 points apiece. Kirsten McIntire led the offensive unit for South collecting 11 points. Merrimack visits Concord on Friday and South will host Goffstown on Friday.

Milford

At the East Coast Invitational Leslie MacGrath picked up the win in the high jump. Renee Wilson finished fourth in the long jump and Liv Vogel took sixth in pole vault. The girls finished third overall in the Pentathlon. Wilson (long jump), MacGrath (high jump) and Robyn Krafft (shot put) picked up wins for the Spartans. Krafft and MacGrath won the shot put and high jump respectively in the Milford Dome Meet. The team of Liz Rodil, Lori DeMambro, Marissa Sage and Abbey Halloran placed runner up in the 4×800 relay. Other finishers were Halloran (third, 1000), Sarah Sawyer (fourth, 300), Kylie Allen (fourth, shot put) and Rodil (fifth, 600). On the boy’s side Caleb Korthals was runner up in the 1000, Alex Addonizio placed second in the high jump, JR Ughu finished third in shot put and Reggie Hardwick ended his day fifth

in the 300.
