High School Highlights: Londonderry slips by Nashua North wrestling

LONDONDERRY 38,

NASHUA NORTH 36

Wins for the Titans, all by fall, came from Matt Oliver at 106, Michael Mathson at 126, Andrew Frye at 132, Andrew Tate at 138, and Max Ackerman at 285. The Titans also got a forfeit win at 220.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 57,

SOUHEGAN 24

Leading the way with pins for the Cavaliers were Jack Duval (132) and Teddy Moscatelli (152). Hunter Hudzik (160) also picked up a decision on the night, with several HB wrestlers receiving forfeits.

MILFORD 48,

CAMPBELL 9

Big wins for the Spartans in the season opener for both came from Deacon Currier, Rudy Schnare, Ethan O’Connor, and Ben Kilgore.

Swimming

NORTH BOYS SPLIT

The Titans fell to Bedford but topped Timberlane in their season opener earlier this week. Notable performances were turned in by Mario Rodrigues, who won both the 200 free and 100 backstroke. Owen White had a strong debut with a second in the 200 IM. Cameron Lee also had a second in the 50 free while Sayan Ghose finished second in the 100 butterfly. The boys 200 free relay of Rodrigues, Lee, Ghose, and White finished first.

NORTH GIRLS THIRD

The girls fell to both Bedford and Timberlain in their season opener despite Ana Haight’s pair of second place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 back. Katerina Juris also had a third place finish in the 50 free.

The Titans will host Spaulding on Friday.
