Cavaliers, Panthers continue unbeaten seasons
The Hollis Brookline and Nashua High School South girls volleyball teams continued their unbeaten regular seasons with one match left to highlight Wednesday’s action:
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3,
NASHUA NORTH 0
The Cavaliers stayed unbeaten (17-0) with a 25-18, 25-22, 25-16 sweep over the pesky Titans (8-9).
HB leaders on the night they honored their nine seniors (six players, three managers) were Maren Anderson (15 kills), Kaleigh Whalen (12 kills), Sydney Powers (four kills), Ellie Jordan (three aces, nine digs), Sammie Sheppard (nine digs), and Lauren Ingraham (four digs).
Leaders for North included Abby Coy (two aces, seven kills, 12 digs), Kelsey Laliberte (eight kills), Alexis Miranda (four kills, four blocks, two aces), Jamie Parker (15 digs) and Meg Valcourt (10 assists).
North finishes the regular season Thursday at home vs. Keene while HB wraps theirs up Friday at Londonderry.
NASHUA SOUTH 3,
EXETER 0
The beat goes on for the powerful Panthers as they moved to 17-0 with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-15 sweep on the road.
Nashua stayed undefeated on the season with a win at Exeter.
While it was Exeter’s night to honor seniors, it was the Panther seniors who came through as Kara Kelliher led the way with nine kills followed by Cara Lecklider with seven, Paige Garland with six, and Catherine Covert with five.
South will have its own senior night Friday vs. BG.
BISHOP GUERTIN 3,
GOFFSTOWN 0
The host Cards moved to 9-8 with a 25-20, 25-11, 25-14 straight set performance.
Alicia Glasheen had four aces, 12 assists and eight digs to help lead the way. Other keys were Emma Charon (16 digs), Elizabeth Knapp (five aces, 10 kills, seven digs) and Kristen Coumas (16 assists).
Guertin wraps up the regular season Friday night at Nashua South.
LONDONDERRY 3,
MERRIMACK 1
The Tomahawks (2-15) took the second set 25-16 to stay alive after falling 25-20, 25-9, but couldn’t hang on in the fourth set, bowing 25-18.
Anna Niezrecki had 28 digs and three aces, while Isabella Smith had 20 assists and five kills, Eva Page had nine kills and one block.
The Tomahawks wrap up their season Friday at Goffstown.
CAMPBELL 3,
PORTSMOUTH CHRISTIAN 1
The Cougars are now 10-5 after a 25-18, 25-13, 26-28, 25-20 four set match.
Catherine Carignan paced with win with four aces, five kills, eight digs and one block. Mallory Reczko (two aces, 13 kills, five digs, one block), Jordan Kanaley (three aces, five kills, three digs, 36 assists) and Elayna Montenero )19 digs) all had good nights as well.
The Cougars wrap up the regular season Friday at home vs. Newfound.

It was a tough night on the road for the Tomahawks, who fell to 6-9 while the Lancers wrapped up their regular season at 15-1.
Merrrimack finishes its regular season Friday at home vs. Goffstown, looking to secure a likely Division I tourney berth.
