Most of us who value our freedoms were appalled when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, restricting reproductive health care access to women across the country. Days later, after refusing to take action to protect abortion access in New Hampshire, Governor Sununu went to Maine to campaign for Paul LePage, an anti-choice extremist Republican and candidate for governor.

By campaigning with someone like Paul LePage, Sununu is once again making clear that he is more interested in playing to the most extreme, anti-choice members of his party than doing what is right for Granite Staters.

From our freedom to decide if and when we grow our families to our freedom to vote in fair elections, Republicans want to overturn the will of the people and block the policies the majority of citizens favor.

We need a Democratic governor who will stand up against the NH GOP’s anti-choice agenda and take action to protect reproductive rights here in New Hampshire. This November, we must vote Sununu out and elect Dr. Tom Sherman as our next governor!
