This is NOT who we are

By Sandra Papasedero - Hudson | Jul 18, 2020

“Voice” … Webster’s Dictionary explains it as “an instrument or medium of expression” We all have one. Of late, I confess, we’ve been careless. Recently, Dianna Ploss, with the luxury of a public voice, stole mine! Her ugly diatribe, proudly videod, harassing workingmen won much attention. As she berated them for using their native tongue, they didn’t respond, continued in the 90-degree heat, and endured. I doubt I could have. She harangued, camera in hand, about “tax payer funds”, this is America” and the ultimate…”Communists“! These people had no voice that day. Unfortunately, her nasal tones enjoy a public forum. Research tells me she uses hers often in this mode. To me, she insulted ALL of us that day! Her voice had a tone of triumph! “Look at me calling these inferiors out for not speaking in my tongue“! “I got your back Nashua”…

Madam, your voice is your own. Keep it! This is NOT who we are. Jeff Rutstein and I chatted on Facebook. Just two strangers who decried ignorance. We want to use our voices. Jeff started a “Go fund me” to somehow counter the insult to all of us.

Happily, we find we are a LOUDER voice than even we knew! As requested by her victims, Soul Sista will feed many more needy and voiceless people. It seems our voice is more powerful than hers! We have been heard! We are proud of the many who have used their voices to support and help us. Without destroying anything or hurting one person, Jeff and I protested. We must NEVER let anyone steal our voice. This woman thought she got away with it, but we all got it back!

From we who were born here, a heartfelt Muchas Gracias!
