Next time, ask for identical treatment

By Staff | Jan 15, 2014

State Rep. David Campbell goes out, has some drinks, accelerates his vehicle and kills five ducks. He gets seen and challenged by a bystander and then opts to call a buddy – not any buddy mind you, but a Nashua police commissioner to “escort him away” from the scene.

When does he get interviewed by the Nashua Police Department? The next day. Next day? How convenient. A commissioner pulls you away and you need not discuss with anyone on the Nashua PD until the next day. What takes place next? A Nashua police captain says, “Sometimes, you know, we can’t follow through with certain things.” Really? Truly, truly sickening.

I urge anyone retained by the Nashua police to insist on identical treatment. Get a ride home from Commissioner Tom Pappas, get a good night’s sleep and let Nashua police interview you after breakfast the following day. Then, tell them your foot slipped.
