Nashua man rams Hollis police cruiser, facing DUI charges
HOLLIS – As Hollis Police officers were conducting a motor vehicle stop in the early morning hours of June 11, a vehicle operated by Brady Raye, 32, of Nashua barrelled down Proctor Hill Road and slammed into one of the parked cruisers.
According to police, Raye attempted to flee the scene; however, officers caught up with him a short time later. During the roadside investigation, officers determined that Rayes was impaired. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Conduct After an Accident and Criminal Mischief.
Raye was released on personal recognizance and will be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries in this completely avoidable accident,” Hollis Police said in a written statement. “The Hollis Police Department once again wishes to remind the public that impaired driving is dangerous and we have zero tolerance for this behavior. If you’re going to drink, find alternative means of transportation.”
