By Staff | May 20, 2023

ReVision Energy, a mission-driven, employee-owned solar company operating in Northern New England, has added Dr. Fiona Wilson to their Board of Directors. Dr. Wilson is the first external Board of Director for ReVision, which has grown to almost 400 employee-owners.

ReVision Energy is headquartered in South Portland with offices in Montville, Maine; Brentwood and Enfield, New Hampshire; and North Andover, Massachusetts. In 2022, the company was named a Best for the World™ B Corp for their sustainable business practices and commitment to their workforce, ranking in the top 5% of 5,000 B-Corps worldwide for the fourth year in a row. Last year ReVision-installed technologies offset 38.7 million pounds of carbon across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Dr. Wilson is the Director of the Sustainability Institute and Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer for the University of New Hampshire. With her colleagues, she helps steward UNH’s top 5 in the nation ranking in sustainability, including across the university’s operational footprint, as well as across UNH’s educational programs, research, and community engagement.

Dr. Wilson has been involved in the B Corp movement since inception through her research, teaching, and community engagement. She also sits on the Leadership Circle of Maine B Corps. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Wilson spent 15 years in strategic leadership roles at large global companies including Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and CMGI, Inc. As a passionate advocate for the environment, Dr. Wilson served for almost a decade on the Board of Trustees for Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment.

“I have deeply admired ReVision Energy for many years since the company was part of the core team that helped in the completion of a LEED platinum home in Freeport, Maine for my family in 2010,” Dr. Wilson said. “My UNH team and I regularly collaborate with ReVision Energy to engage UNH students with ReVision’s sustainability efforts.”

“We are truly honored that Fiona will be joining ReVision Energy’s Board of Directors,” said Dan Clapp, Co-Founder and Board Secretary. “As an employee-owned B Corp, we will benefit tremendously from her passion and commitment to the Benefit Corp movement. Fiona has a deep impact on many New England businesses and, more importantly, hundreds of students who will carry the triple bottom line knowledge forward in their own careers. Her prior experience in corporate leadership, along with her deep understanding of the cross section between social innovation, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability will help guide ReVision’s critical mission in the years ahead. We cannot be more humbled that she will be bringing her wisdom to our 380+ co-owners, so we can continue to have a positive impact throughout our local communities.”
