NASHUA — Members of the police department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit and its Criminal Investigations Division continue to investigate the rollover crash on Main Dunstable Road that claimed the life of a 22-year-old man whose identity has yet to be released.
Police said the man’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members. They said that further information will be released as it becomes available, citing the ongoing investigation.
Police, firefighters and AMR ambulance personnel were called just after 2 a.m. Sunday to the area of 427 Main Dunstable Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash with injury.
They determined that the driver was the only occupant of the car, which they found on its roof in the front yard of the home, which sits back about 100 feet from the road.
Firefighters went to work with hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the man from the wreckage, and were able to remove him after about 30 minutes.

Medical personnel were unable to revive the man, however, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said that part of the ongoing investigation is whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. They didn’t say whether speed may have been involved.
The crash occurred between Rene Drive and Whitford Road, closer to Rene Drive, a cul-de-sac of about a dozen residences.
Police closed Main Dunstable Road shortly after arrival, and the section between Rene Drive and Whitford Road remained closed well into Sunday morning.
The vehicle appears to have struck several large rocks after it went off the road, which caused it to roll over.
