Hitting a High Note

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Aug 13, 2022

(Telegraph photo by DEAN SHALHOUP) Al St. Louis waves to the Holman Stadium crowd after singing his 5,000th national anthem at the start of last week's Silver Knights regular season finale.

Pending confirmation – which is pretty much just a formality – prolific National Anthem performer Al St. Louis has set a new Guiness Book record for most anthems sung, which he reached upon belting out his 5,000th rendition last week at the Nashua Silver Knights final regular-season game. Numerous special guests joined the regular Silver Knights fans at Holman Stadium for the record-breaking performance that was 12 years in the making. Looking ahead, St. Louis said he has no plans to give up his unique hobby anytime soon. He is now setting his sights on his next goal – performing the anthem for the New England Patriots faithful at Gillette Stadium.
