Stopped in Hollis for alleged inspection violation, woman ends up charged with felony drug offense and two active arrest warrants

Stefanie Nevin, 39, of Manchester

HOLLIS — Police say officers on patrol on Route 111 — Runnells Bridge Road — pulled over a vehicle several days ago for a possible inspection violation, but a subsequent check of the license status of the driver, Stefanie Nevin, revealed active arrest warrants were in effect.

Nevin, 39, currently a Manchester resident, was taken into custody on the warrants, one issued by Manchester police and the other by Lebanon police, police said. When officers conducted a standard weapons search, however, they discovered Nevin allegedly had crack cocaine in her possession.

Officers booked Nevin on the drug charge, then turned her over to the custody of Manchester police for processing on their warrant, police said.

The day after the arrest, police secured a search warrant for the vehicle Nevins was operating, and through the course of the vehicle search officers allegedly located evidence that will result in Nevin “facing additional charges, including possession of heroin, and felon in possession of a firearm,” police said.

They said more charges may be filed at a later date, adding that the the case “is still an active investigation.”

Nevin, according to court records, has several other cases on file, two of which remain pending in Merrimack County Superior Court. Four others, out of Cheshire County, involve various charges filed by Hinsdale authorities related to theft, receiving stolen property, and identity theft from 2018 and 2019, were settled with a combination of brief prison and jail terms, suspended prison terms, orders for drug treatment and other sentencing conditions, and several charges dismissed by prosecutors.

The pending Merrimack County cases stem from Nevin’s arrests in January and April, the earlier one involving alleged drug offenses and an operating without a valid license charge.

The April arrest accuses Nevin of theft by deception and a “fake sales receipt” charge filed by Hooksett police.

According to the files, Nevin is next due in court on Aug. 12, for status conferences in both cases.
