Released on $500 bail a month ago despite multiple felony charges, Nashua man now facing new set of felony domestic violence allegations

Dana Tassie, 33, of 20 Marshall St., Apt. 106, Nashua

NASHUA — Felony and misdemeanor charges accusing Nashua resident Dana Tassie of assaulting a woman known to him, threatening her with a deadly weapon and barricading the door to prevent her from leaving landed Tassie behind bars pending an arraignment that was scheduled for Monday.

Following his arrest Saturday afternoon, Tassie, 33, of 20 Marshall St., Apt. 106, was booked on the several charges police filed against him in connection with the alleged spate of violence, which left the alleged victim with injuries that police described as minor.

But this time, in a departure from Tassie’s arrest on March 22, he was ordered held on preventive detention to await his arraignment.

Although that March 22 arrest included five felony charges — two counts of convicted felons, meaning felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and three counts of possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense — Tassie’s bail was set at $500 cash, which was promptly posted.

As for the charges stemming from Saturday’s arrest, they include two counts of convicted felons, and one count each of second degree assault — domestic violence and criminal threatening — domestic violence, all Class B felonies; and four Class A misdemeanor charges, including two counts of breach of bail, and one count each of domestic violence — false imprisonment, and simple assault — domestic violence.

Whether Tassie’s scheduled arraignment took place Monday, or whether his bail order was amended, wasn’t immediately known.

Police ask anyone who may have additional information on the incidents to call the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
