MANCHESTER — Members of an FBI Evidence Response Team working alongside local detectives at a West Side Manchester property began packing up their gear early Monday afternoon, and by sunset all personnel and equipment involved in the search for Harmony Montgomery had departed 77 Gilford St.

Images captured by a drone earlier in the day showed a tent and enclosed shelter set up in the rear of the fenced-in backyard, with large tarps spread over certain areas, but images captured a few hours later showed an empty, dirt-covered backyard that stood in contrast to neighbors’ snow-covered yards.

The home, where Harmony’s biological father, Adam Montgomery, lived until it was sold in 2020, had been the focus in recent days of the wide, ongoing search for Harmony, who was last seen in Manchester in October 2019.

Investigators have indicated that Harmony may have lived in the Gilford Street house, probably with her father, until she went missing, and it was there that she was last seen.

Later Monday, a statement issued by the office of state Attorney General John Formella confirmed that police have “concluded (their) multi-day search at 77 Gilford St.

“Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released at this time,” according to the statement.

It also asks the public to “respect the privacy of the current residents” of the home, and to “stay off the property as the investigation continues.”

In the meantime, authorities continue to urge anyone who many have any information on the case to call or text 603-203-6060, the number for the dedicated Tip Line police created earlier in the investigation.

It was just after 2 p.m. Monday that investigators working at the scene could be seen breaking down tarps and and tents that had been in the yard and driveway of 77 Gilford St.

As crews broke everything down, more than 20 different vehicles began to leave the scene. The large tarps previously used in conjunction with a ground heater were piled in the driveway.

No crime scene tape or officers securing the scene were left by mid-afternoon.

An aerial view showed a backyard with nothing but dirt left, and no one working in it.

As media crews filmed the vehicles departing the scene, police opened the street to traffic. Many residents of the neighborhood had expressed concern about what one woman called a “media circus,” the result of the presence of personnel from several out-of-town TV stations.
