NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A man from New Hampshire has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his grandmother.

Jacob Abraham was arrested Friday in Lowell, Massachusetts, just south of the state line. He is accused of killing 71-year-old Cynthia Toupin, his grandmother.

Authorities say Toupin died following blunt force trauma to her head and/or a puncture wound to her neck. An autopsy was planned for Sunday.

Abraham is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court. It was unclear Saturday whether he was being represented by an attorney.

Authorities have released few details about Toupin’s death. NBC Boston reported that Toupin was killed Thursday evening in a residence in Lowell, and that police asked neighbors if they had seen someone fleeing the scene.
