NASHUA – Nashua Fire Rescue received a call for fire coming from the roof of Kinsley House of Pizza at 118 Kinsley Street on Monday at about 10 p.m.

While en route, fire crews were advised that people could see fire inside the restaurant through the windows. Firefighters arrived, and smoke coming from the building, and fire coming from the rooftop vent.

Firefighters forced entry to the building and set up ladders to the roof. The fire quickly spread to the walls of an attached multi-unit apartment building that was being evacuated. Firefighters removed siding from the apartment building, and removed windows to eject smoke.

A resident asked firefighters to rescue two cats, one was found and the other was unaccounted for.

The fire was knocked down in about 25 minutes, and crews worked to place salvage tarps in the restaurant and apartment building. Multiple people were displaced from the apartment building, and will not be able to return until repairs are made. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire.
