Florida fugitive captured in Milford; another nabbed in Lebanon

MILFORD — A New Hampshire-based U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured two fugitives yesterday, one of whom they took down in what they described as “Milford Square,” but they likely meant the Milford Oval.

The suspect is Joseph Gordan, 61, last known to be living in Fort Myers, Florida, officials said.

An arrest warrant for Gordan had been issued out of Lee County, Florida, stemming from allegations of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child between the ages of 12-16.

Officials said members of a Florida-based Fugitive Task Force contacted the New Hampshire task force requesting assistance to locate and arrest Gordan, based upon information they had received indicating Gordan was possibly in Milford.

He was, and after a short period of surveillance, Task Force members took him into custody without incident, officials said.

He was booked on a fugitive from justice charge based on the outstanding Florida warrant, and ordered held in jail pending his return to Florida to face the charges there.

Also captured yesterday by the Task Force was Belknap County fugitive Logan McCallister Graham, a 26-year-old former Laconia resident who officials said failed to appear in Belknap County Superior Court on a second-degree assault charge involving a child under age 13.

Graham, officials said, was featured as the Fugitive of the Week on Wednesday, which resulted in “a lot of information” pointing to an apartment on Spencer Street in Lebanon.

When the Task Force caught up with him, Graham allegedly attempted to close the door on the lawmen and “indicated he would not be arrested,” officials said — adding, however, that he “was quickly subdued and taken into custody.”

Graham was booked and jailed pending a future appearance in Belknap County Superior Court.

In both cases, officials said, the “extensive investigations were conducted with the assistance of several of the U.S. Marshal’s partner agencies, including, the Belknap, Rockingham and Strafford county Sheriff’s offices and the Lebanon, Milford and Greenfield police departments.”
