Car sinks into trench atop Library Hill; no injuries reported

Firefighters and road construction crews check out the vehicle that ended up in a rather unusual predicament around noon Tuesday. The vehicle apparently sank into a trench as its driver, who wasn’t identified, was passing a roadwork site at the junction of Main and Amherst streets atop Library Hill when the front end of the car suddenly dropped about two feet into the road. No injuries were reported.
