Police responding to Hudson home for report of intruders met with gunshots

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Aug 24, 2021

HUDSON — A 55-year-old Bush Hill Road resident was charged with three felony offenses over the weekend following an incident that police say began when they received a call indicating possible intruders on the resident’s property.

Taken into custody Saturday evening was Eleanor Wing, of 177 Bush Hill Road, who police said had barricaded herself inside her house by the time officers arrived to check on the report of intruders.

Police said the officers immediately determined there were no intruders on the property, but they then heard several shots ring out from inside the house.

Police closed a section of Bush Hill Road from number 160 to the Pelham town line, and requested the presence of the Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, and upon its arrival members contacted Wing and began negotiating with her.

After what police described as “lengthy negotiations,” members of the unit were able to take Wing into custody without incident.

Neither Wing nor any of the officers were injured, police said.

Wing was transported to police headquarters and booked on three counts of reckless conduct — deadly weapon. She was held in jail pending arraignment, which took place Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua.

Court documents aren’t clear as to whether Wing remained incarcerated or if bail was set, and if so, whether she posted bail.

Wing’s next appearance in court is a dispositional conference scheduled for 8 a.m. on Oct. 27.
