Suspect accused of failing to return rental vehicle charged with ID fraud, unauthorized use

David Terilli, 39, of Billerica, Massachusetts

NASHUA – Police this week picked up a Massachusetts man following a several-month investigation into the disappearance of a rental vehicle from a Nashua agency.

Charged with one count each of identity fraud, unauthorized use of a vehicle or rented property, and forgery was David Terilli, 39, of Billerica, after police arrested him on the warrant they’d issued during their investigation.

The felony charge is a Class B misdemeanor, police said, while the other two offenses are Class A felonies.

Terilli was transported to police headquarters for booking, then later released on cash bail. A Superior Court arraignment is pending.

Police said the investigation, which began in mid-February when officers took a report of a vehicle that was rented but hadn’t been returned, determined that Terilli had allegedly used an identification belonging to another person not known to him to rent the vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen, police said, and later turned up in Billerica.

Police ask anyone with any additional information on the case to contact the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
