Greg Surbey, Nashua man who recently ran for school board, is reported missing
Greg Surbey, 37, last known address of 10 Dane St., Nashua
NASHUA – Police say detectives are “actively investigating” the disappearance of 37-year-old Nashua resident Greg Surbey, whose friends and family members have become concerned about his well-being.
A person police described as a “longtime friend” of Surbey called police Wednesday to report him missing. The friend told police that Surbey’s family hadn’t heard from him since Feb. 5.
The family members told police that such behavior “is very out of character” for Surbey, a factor that prompted them to ask for help in locating him.
Surbey is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, police said, adding that they don’t have a clothing description for him.
Surbey, whose last known address is 10 Dane St., ran unsuccessfully for Ward 6 alderman in 2015, then ran, again unsuccessfully, for a seat on the Board of Education in the 2019 election.
Before that, he ran unsuccessfully for state representative in the 2010 and 2012 elections.
Police urge anyone who may know Surbey’s whereabouts, or who has any additional information that may help locate him, to contact police headquarters at 594-3500, or call its Crime Line, where callers can remain anonymous, at 589-1665.
