NASHUA – The second snowstorm in as many days got underway early this morning and, like its predecessor on Sunday, is expected to drop anywhere from 3-5 inches in the area.

Although not a large storm, today’s event began creating slick conditions for drivers before the morning commute, and is expected to affect the afternoon commute as well.

The National Weather Service on Monday afternoon issued a winter weather advisory for much of central and southern New Hampshire through 10 tonight.

The expected impacts from the storm, according to the advisory, include hazardous road conditions pretty much everywhere in the advisory area, which includes Hillsborough, Cheshire, and Rockingham counties.

The storm is forecast as all snow, and neither wind or icing will be an issue this time around.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with partly cloudy conditions forecast for Thursday and Friday. High temperatures, however, are not expected to make it to 30 degrees.

Whether another storm will visit the region over the coming weekend is not yet clear.
