North Main Music puts ‘2020’ spin on student concert

By Staff | Nov 1, 2020

NASHUA – The show must go on. North Main Music School will hold its nineteenth semi-annual student concert on Sunday, Nov. 8, and for the first time thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be held virtually.

North Main Music’s semi-annual concerts provide their students with the opportunity to celebrate and share their skills and passion for music with family, friends, and community. In the past, the concerts have been held in front of a live audience in local venues such as Nashua High School North. This time around, the concert will take place in your living room via internet video.

“Our student concerts are something that our students and families really look forward to,” said Mike McAdam, North Main Music director and founder. “These performance opportunities are a pivotal piece of the music school experience for so many of our students. Preparing for the concert helps our students stay motivated to practice and gives them a short term goal to strive for. Knowing this, we strongly believe that with the proper safety and distancing protocols in place, we can provide our students with a unique and exclusive opportunity to experience performing in a professional video recording environment and families and friends can safely watch them from home.”

Recorded performances will have a delayed release time on North Main Music’s Facebook and Instagram accounts to allow families plenty of time to return home to watch them together. The high quality, full resolution concert video will also be available for participants to download soon after the concert weekend.
