MERRIMACK – A call asking police to check on the welfare of a woman who had reportedly been involved in an argument with a man she knows led to the arrest of the man, police said.

Charles Boria, 32, was charged with one count of domestic-related criminal threatening, police said. He was taken into custody without incident around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said officers who responded to the incident, the address of which wasn’t provided, determined that Boria and the woman had an argument, during the course of which Boria allegedly threatened to kill her.

Police described the woman as Boria’s significant other.

Boria was booked on the charge and later released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment, which police said is scheduled for July 20 in Merrimack district court.
