U.S. Rep. Kuster to visit Nashua today

By Staff | Feb 24, 2020

NASHUA – U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster will visit the Nashua Regional Planning Commission at 1:30 p.m. today to unveil her bipartisan legislation, the Invest in American Railroads Act. The bill could help New Hampshire pay for the Capitol Corridor Project to connect Concord, Manchester and Nashua to Boston via commuter rail. Kuster will discuss this initiative with local government officials, community leaders and rail/transportation experts. Kuster has been a strong advocate for passenger rail, writing in support of funding for the Federal Transit Administration’s New and Small Starts grant programs, which help pay for passenger rail programs.

At noon, Kuster will address local business leaders and members of the Nashua Rotary Club about issues important to Granite State communities, including climate change, clean energy, reliable public transportation and workforce development.
