Joyce Cooling & Heating focuses on customers

NASHUA – Joyce Cooling & Heating Inc. has been offering fast, efficient service for nearly 25 years, and has NATE certified technicians on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide cooling and heating services.

Owner Shaun Dougherty said they mostly service residential cooling and heating; however, they also perform work in offices as well. The company offers retail humidifiers, air cleaners, air exchangers, microduct systems, furnaces and boilers. This brick and mortar business is tucked away at 51 Lake St. in Nashua, where it has operated since 1995 when Tony Joyce founded the company. Next year, they will celebrate 25 years in business.

“It went from a very small, probably a five- to eight-person company to what it is today,” Dougherty said.

Dougherty said 35 people are employed by the company and that they treat their workers well. He said the company had to take on some new technology because of their growth over the years, including the way they schedule, because of how many customers they have.

Owner Abe Zibolis said their employees love working with them, and that their lead guys have been with Joyce for 10 or more years.

“We have very little turnover,” Zibolis said. “All the guys that are really out there, most of them have been there forever.”

The company also has won Best of Greater Nashua awards five years in a row. Zibolis believes this is because they are customer focused. He said their staff bends over backward to make sure people are happy.

“We’re kind of like a family,” Zibolis said.

That family extends their reach across Greater Nashua, and even into northern Massachusetts. From air conditioning to heating systems, service and more, Joyce employees will travel in and around Nashua, Merrimack, Litchfield, Hudson, Windham, Pelham, Hollis, Milford, Brookline, Bedford, Amherst and northern Massachusetts.

Between service calls, emergency service calls and installations, Zibolis said the company’s crew keeps very busy.

“Service calls, we’re doing 20 to 25 a day, and then installations we’re doing six a day,” Dougherty said.
