Locals indicted by grand jury

Various allegations include sexual assault and identity fraud

NASHUA – Charges of sexual assault, identity fraud, and the ramifications of an alleged road rage episode in Brookline are among the allegations on which the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South grand jury handed up indictments for the January term.

An indictment is not proof of guilt, but represents the Grand Jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for prosecutors to move the case forward in Superior Court.

Carlos Ayala, 52, of 256 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack. Two counts, aggravated felonious sexual assault – domestic violence, special felonies; one count each, simple assault – domestic violence and false imprisonment – domestic violence, misdemeanors, for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a female who did not freely give consent to the acts, and grabbing her hips and not letting her go after she told him to let her go, on Nov. 4 in Merrimack.

Edgar Santana, 22, of 319 Bramhall Ave., Jersey City, N.J. One count, identity fraud – pose as another, felony; one count each, attempted theft and forgery, felonies, for allegedly posing as another person in order to obtain an iPhone; acting in concert with Jose de la Rosadias to try to obtain an iPhone valued at more than $1,000 by creating a fraudulent order using another person’s personal information and identity, and uttering a fictitious New Hampshire driver’s license in an attempt to defraud Verizon, on Oct. 31 in Nashua..

Michael Twohig, 41, of 242 Route 13, Brookline. One count each, Reckless conduct – deadly weapon, and criminal threatening – deadly weapon, felonies, for allegedly attempting to hit another person with his car, placing the person in danger of serious injury, and attempting to place a person in fear of imminent bodily injury by walking toward the person wielding a hatchet amid a road rage incident, on Nov. 18 in Brookline.
