Not Your Average Joe’s restaurant to open near Pheasant Lane Mall
Nashua will get its latest entry in the "fast casual" segment on Monday when the 21st Not Your Average Joe’s restaurant opens in the Webster Square Shopping Plaza.
This will be the first location in New Hampshire for the chain, which opened in 1994 near Boston and now has 15 restaurants in Massachusetts and a half-dozen in several other Northeastern states. It will open Monday, Dec. 22.
The roughly 7,000-square-foot restaurant replaces Pier 1 Imports at 221 Daniel Webster Highway, next to the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. A Starbucks coffee shop will take up the rest of the plaza space.
Not Your Average Joe’s Executive Chef Jeff Tenner was previously chef and partner at Lindbergh’s Crossing in Portsmouth and the owner and chef of Ciento in Portsmouth. He has been the executive chef for Not Your Average Joe’s since August 2013.
The opening is part of a flurry of work being done to shopping plazas bought last year by Linear Retail of Burlington, Mass., near the intersection of Daniel Webster Highway and Spit Brook Road.
The restaurant will mark its Nashua opening by making a donation to Harbor Homes.
