WASHINGTON – On Friday, U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement after taking his oath of office as a member of the 119th Congress representing New Hampshire’s First Congressional District:

“It is an honor to take my oath of office to continue representing the people of New Hampshire’s First Congressional District in Congress, and I am grateful to have earned another term as their voice in Washington. I look forward to spending the next two years building on the progress we’ve made lowering costs for families, strengthening our economy and small business climate, supporting our veterans, and rebuilding our infrastructure. Looking ahead, we have much more work to confront the pressing issues facing our state and our nation. That’s why I will keep working across the aisle to deliver results to address our housing crisis, make child care more affordable, secure our borders, protect reproductive freedom, and ensure that our communities remain healthy and safe. I remain committed to bringing people together, cutting through gridlock, and always putting New Hampshire first. There will be difficult days ahead, but I’ve never been more confident in the spirit and resilience of Granite Staters to meet every challenge and work together to build a better future.”
