U.S. Rep Annie Kuster

CONCORD – Friday, on Earth Day 2022, U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) joined her colleagues to introduce a House Resolution to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day and to encourage environmental action to address climate change.

“New Hampshire is home to the most beautiful land and outdoor recreation in the country, and every day we are reminded of that fact,” said Rep. Kuster. “On Earth Day we appreciate all that our great state has to offer, and also recognize the impact that humans have on our planet. That is why I am proud to join this annual Resolution to recognize Earth Day and recommit to protecting our planet for generations to come.”

The House Resolution highlights Earth Day as a reminder to:

• Promote environmental citizenship and action year-round;

• Encourage environmental activism and stewardship around the world, and motivate people to find ways to protect the environment;

• Reaffirm our national responsibility in the global effort to combat climate change and protect our planet for all.

A member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the co-chair of the Ski and Snowboard Caucus, Rep. Kuster is a leading voice in Congress for the preservation and protection of our planet. Last year, Kuster cosponsored the Electric Vehicles for Underserved Communities Act, legislation directing the Department of Energy to expand access to EV charging in underserved communities by establishing an Electric Vehicle Charging Equity Program to create 200,000 charging stations nationwide in underserved communities by 2030.
