By Staff | Jul 3, 2020

U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan

U.S. Sen Maggie Hassan issued the following statement in observance of the July 4 holiday.

“This Independence Day will certainly look and feel different than in years past. However, even as we all continue to socially distance and follow public health guidelines, I encourage everyone to take the time to reflect on how we can live up to our country’s core values and what it means to be an American. I also want to thank the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who make enormous sacrifices so that we can all be free.”

We also wanted to make sure you saw that Senator Maggie Hassan held a Facebook Live conversation today with President and CEO of Strawbery Banke Museum, Larry Yerdon, ahead of Independence Day weekend to discuss the museum’s online July 4th celebration amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Strawbery Banke Museum, located in Portsmouth, NH, is an outdoor history museum dedicated to immersing its visitors in 300+ years of New Hampshire and American history.
